Our Mother’s Day autocross was very successful.  The Watson’s did a fantastic job.  A big thank you to all of the workers.  Our next event will be the drags at Lapeer Dragway with Fred King chairing this event.   Our next autocross will be on Father’s Day with Gordon McCann and his beautiful daughter Merideth Seidelman chairing the NCCC event with 7 events.  Hopefully all entrants will run all 7 events to help CCM remain in first place in the Michigan Region.  We can use every ones help.   Our July 4th event will be held at Waterford Hills Race Track.  The track surface has just been totally redone.  This is a fun event with Bruce and Mary Wentzel chairing this event.  Flyers for all CCM events can be found at https://corvetteclubmi.com/competition/

Our Wednesday JUNE 26 meeting will be a cruise to BAKER’s on Milford Road.  Members can meet at MEIJER’s on Grand River and Wixom Road by 6:15 pm and cruise with Fred King to Baker’s.  Fred will lead the cruise.  For those going directly to Baker’s we will meet at 7:15-7:30 pm.  JOIN US FOR A GREAT EVENING.  Do not go to Les Stanfords on that Wednesday.

Most NCCC Members are aware of the fact that VETTE , the DOLPIN, is NCCC’s official mascot.  Many members have heard the story of how VETTE became our mascot.  The part of the story that in 1969, soon after the attendees at the NCCC 1969 Convention at Daytona Beach, Florida visited Marineland as part of Convention week a dolphin was “born” turns out to be partially true. Marineland decided to name the dolphin “VETTE” as a tribute to the enjoyment they experienced from NCCC’s visit is very true.

Reminder that the 60th NCCC Convention is in Denver, Colorado July 7 to July 12, 2019

Hope to see you there.

Looking for a new or used vehicle be sure and see Jacob at Les Stanford Chevrolet.

Mary Wentzel, 2019 CCM President
